2. Deep groove ball bearings with ball-loading gaps
Single row deep groove ball bearings with a ball-loading gap have a ball-loading gap on the inner ring and outer ring, allowing the use of more and larger balls than standard deep groove ball bearings. The bearing with the ball notch has a higher radial load capacity than the bearing without the ball notch, but its axial load capacity is smaller. 3. Stainless steel deep groove ball bearings
Stainless steel deep groove ball bearings can resist corrosion caused by moisture and a number of other media. This type of single-row deep groove ball bearing is the same as the standard deep groove ball bearing made of carbon chromium (rolling bearing) steel. It has a deep bearing raceway groove and a high degree of fit between the bearing raceway and the ball. Double row deep groove ball bearings are designed to echo single row deep groove ball bearings. This type of bearing has an uninterrupted deep raceway and a high degree of fit between the ball and the bearing raceway. In addition to radial loads, they can also bear bidirectional axial loads.
Double row deep groove ball bearings are very suitable for bearing arrangements where single row bearings are insufficient to carry the load. In the case of the same outer diameter and inner diameter, the double row bearing is slightly wider than the single row bearing, but the load capacity is significantly higher than that of the 62 and 63 series single row bearings.
5. Ceramic deep groove ball bearings
The standard series of ceramic hybrid bearings mainly include ceramic single row deep groove ball bearings. The reason is clear: deep groove ball bearings are the most widely used bearing form, especially in motors, and they are also very useful in common designs that use life-long grease lubricated bearings. The deep raceway groove and the close match between the raceway and the roller make it able to bear radial load and axial load in two directions.
The inner ring diameter of ceramic deep groove ball bearings is available from 5 to 110mm, and can meet the needs of most applications. Larger size bearings can be customized. 6. Deep groove ball bearings for high temperature occasions
SKF high and low temperature deep groove ball bearings are designed to correspond to the relevant standard single row deep groove ball bearings. The bearing has no filling groove and can withstand moderate axial loads in addition to radial loads. This kind of bearing is characterized by a large radial internal clearance and a special cage. The large clearance is four times the clearance of C5, which can prevent bearing seizure even during rapid cooling. All surfaces and protective covers of the bearing are manganese phosphate. It has anti-corrosion effect and can improve running performance.
The deep groove ball bearing used for high temperature has a cylindrical inner hole and has five different forms, as described below.
VA201 type, used in the most common applications
VA201 type bearing has no seal, with stamped steel cage. It is lubricated with poly(alkylene) glycol/graphite mixture and can be used in the temperature range of -40 to +250°C. When the temperature is above +200℃, dry lubrication is suitable.
2Z/VA201 type with protective cover
2Z/VA201 type bearing has the same design as VA201 type bearing. But there are protective covers on both sides to prevent solid contaminants from entering. In addition, the amount of poly(alkylene) glycol/graphite mixture installed in this bearing is twice that of the open VA201 bearing.
2Z/VA208 type for high temperature
The Bearing 2Z/VA208 type is equipped with segmented graphite cage, which can be used in the temperature environment of -150 to +350℃. Each section of graphite separates the balls and provides the necessary lubrication. The bearing is equipped with two protective covers to guide the cage in the axial direction and prevent the entry of solid contaminants. The graphite powder particles released when the cage rotates provide sufficient lubrication for the bearing.
Another advantage of this kind of bearing is its good environmental performance. Even at the highest temperature, no dangerous gas or vapor is emitted.
2Z/VA228 type, can be used for the highest requirements
2Z/VA228 type bearing is the "extreme product" of SKF high temperature application products. It is equipped with a "spherical" cage of pure graphite, which opens up more application areas for this high-temperature bearing. The spherical cage is a unique invention of SKF, allowing it to run at a speed of up to 100r/min.
2Z/VA216 type for corrosive environment
When the application environment is particularly corrosive, it is recommended to use 2Z/VA216 design bearings. The bearing is filled with milky white multi-purpose grease, which is based on fluorinated polyether oil mixed with PTFE, and can be used in a temperature environment of -40 to +230°C. The bearing design is the same as 2Z/VA201 in other aspects.
Under normal conditions, the filled lubricant is 25 and 35% of the free space in the bearing. On request, other filling levels can be provided.
